Domain Market still strong


According to the research conducted by Sedo, the world most popular place for buying and selling domain names, domain market is showing steady growth and its numbers in Q1 2011 are quite promising. The sales are mostly in the mid-segment (<US $50,000) of domain names but quantity made up for the net difference. Most expensive sale ever was also made by Sedo last year (sex.com for US $13 million).

The biggest change in TLD is appearance of the .co top level domains and they are now responsible for almost 2 percent of all sales at the Sedo marketplace. Biggest sale recorded was music.co for US $30,000 showing that .co has lucrative potential for both resellers and developers.
